We have carpet!!! Yeaaaaaaa this is in the three bedrooms upstairs. wait til you walk on it. you sink up to your ankles it is so soft...

we also got new granite yesterday... this is the master bathroom. It is much more orange than I expected but I love it and it is much more beautiful in person than in this photo. The kitchen and fireplace will be installed on Monday... can't wait to see it!

This is the Master bedroom carpet...

Here it is finished last night! I LOVE IT! You know me and sagey green :) and it is sooooo soft and fun to walk on.

this is what is going in the basement and on the stairs today... it is also very soft and fun to touch and lay on. Kinda boring color I know but we can put whatever color on the walls we want with a neutral color.

this is the downstairs bathroom... again the pictures do not really show how beautiful it is.

I looks like if all goes well with our inspection next thursday the 25th, we will be able to move in on my birthday! that would be great! Pray for a good result on the inspedtion. we have a lot of things to get finished up before that can happen so we will be working pretty much around the clock to get it all done before thursday.

2-12-10, HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRANDON

They installed granite countertops in two of the bathrooms yesterday this is the one in the powder room...

They also finished the hard wood floors... They are quite beautiful and yes they are already dirty from all the worker traffic :( These pictures do not really do any of these surfaces justice...you will just have to come and see them for yourselves :)

We have been painting like mad men... Dad got the little bench done in the laundry/mud room

All of our appliances are in ( but not hooked up yet :( ) Can't wait to use these. I have ordered pedestals to put them on but they haven't arrived yet so picture them about 15 inches higher off the ground.

They made us a mantel. You will have to picture this with granite inset surrounding the firebox. we are using the same granite as the island to bring it all together.

There will also be a granite slab on the hearth for a seat

Do you just love the new fridge? Can't wait to fill that baby up!!

The new kitchen is shaping up wonderfully! Obviously quite a few things to finish yet.

a view of the new hood which obviously need to have the duct covers installed. We had to have them custom made because the manufacturer gave the wrong dimensions on the installation instructions... :( Always a catch, huh? ) It will look great and we will be putting a sheet of stainless steel from the cooktop to the hood on the wall as a backsplash so that it will be easy to keep clean. The rest of the backsplash area will be tiled with white subway tiles... yup more tiling, can't wait to take that on. We did get all the tile on the master shower on Friday and we will grout it tomorrow... More fun than the law allows! It will be worth it, but we are getting quite exhausted and just over the whole thing.

Stay tuned cuz things are happening very fast now... Maybe I will be able to cook dinner in my new house for my birthday!

We are getting a few things in... this is the counter in the laundry room

we also have the massive sink in place in kitchen...The granite guy came today and templated everything for the new granite...we are getting very excited to see it next week too...

We are getting close enough to being finished that it is like a dangling carrot that we can't quite reach...
