We are In !!!!! Woo Hoo! We actually moved in on February 26th and we are far from having much in here yet. It is so nice to have a real house to be in and it is wonderful in spite of our problems... Just a few shots to keep the masses happy :) Sorry about the lack of updates...we have just been too busy trying to get things in so we could live here....

this is a close up of one of my favorite things in the granite on the island and countertops in the kitchen. there are big peices of amethyst and there are lots of quartz pieces that add lots of sparkle!

here is a view of the whole kitchen area. things are quite a mess right now while we are trying to get things done and unpacked. The breackfast bar will be 6 inches lower than the island top ( table height) and will be the same granite. It will be installed Tuesday

I will try to be better about keeping you all informed of what is up here... we are trying to get all the shelves in all the closets and pantry painted and a million other things done before the appraisal is done next week!! are the projects ever going to end??? :) It's all good

We have carpet!!! Yeaaaaaaa this is in the three bedrooms upstairs. wait til you walk on it. you sink up to your ankles it is so soft...

we also got new granite yesterday... this is the master bathroom. It is much more orange than I expected but I love it and it is much more beautiful in person than in this photo. The kitchen and fireplace will be installed on Monday... can't wait to see it!

This is the Master bedroom carpet...

Here it is finished last night! I LOVE IT! You know me and sagey green :) and it is sooooo soft and fun to walk on.

this is what is going in the basement and on the stairs today... it is also very soft and fun to touch and lay on. Kinda boring color I know but we can put whatever color on the walls we want with a neutral color.

this is the downstairs bathroom... again the pictures do not really show how beautiful it is.

I looks like if all goes well with our inspection next thursday the 25th, we will be able to move in on my birthday! that would be great! Pray for a good result on the inspedtion. we have a lot of things to get finished up before that can happen so we will be working pretty much around the clock to get it all done before thursday.

They installed granite countertops in two of the bathrooms yesterday this is the one in the powder room...

They also finished the hard wood floors... They are quite beautiful and yes they are already dirty from all the worker traffic :( These pictures do not really do any of these surfaces justice...you will just have to come and see them for yourselves :)

We have been painting like mad men... Dad got the little bench done in the laundry/mud room

All of our appliances are in ( but not hooked up yet :( ) Can't wait to use these. I have ordered pedestals to put them on but they haven't arrived yet so picture them about 15 inches higher off the ground.

They made us a mantel. You will have to picture this with granite inset surrounding the firebox. we are using the same granite as the island to bring it all together.

There will also be a granite slab on the hearth for a seat

Do you just love the new fridge? Can't wait to fill that baby up!!

The new kitchen is shaping up wonderfully! Obviously quite a few things to finish yet.

a view of the new hood which obviously need to have the duct covers installed. We had to have them custom made because the manufacturer gave the wrong dimensions on the installation instructions... :( Always a catch, huh? ) It will look great and we will be putting a sheet of stainless steel from the cooktop to the hood on the wall as a backsplash so that it will be easy to keep clean. The rest of the backsplash area will be tiled with white subway tiles... yup more tiling, can't wait to take that on. We did get all the tile on the master shower on Friday and we will grout it tomorrow... More fun than the law allows! It will be worth it, but we are getting quite exhausted and just over the whole thing.

They got a lot done today and it is starting to look like they will finish... they installed the closet organizers in the master closet

they did base and case in some of the rooms

they built and almost finished the shelves in the pantry

they hung several of the doors... these are the ones on the new linen closet in the hallway across from the pantry.

We love coming home and seeing progress!! the great room is stacked high with cabinets for the kitchen and my washer is out of the box and sitting in the garage. ( hopefully that means no more trips to the laundrymat! )
