Here are a few of us jammin' on Christmas eve at Ev and Amber's apartment... I am cookng
Amber is blossoming with her pregnancy...Can't wait to meet little Kym in March

And then we opened our Christmas gifts from Emily and Brandon and got another great surprise! # 11 grandbaby is on the way for August 4th.. We are so excited!

Jon and Bern starting the primer coat throughout the house... We used 40 gallons of primer!! That is a lot of bare walls!

The spraying duo..

Just a couple more frost shots

This is us having a dinner break in the garage tonight... Notice the new rave in footwear for the painters! :)

They have been spraying doors most of the day today and they look great! Awesome job guys!

These are a few of the new closet doors, waiting to be painted tomorrow.

I know this picture looks kinda strange.. this is the whole we discovered in the front of my new fireplace when we were taping to paint the great room..:( I am sad and so is the contractor because he will have to replace the fireplace!!)

The stack of doors drying in the great room

one view of the new tile we just finished in the guest bathroom upstairs. It is kinda a mess because we haven't wiped it up or grouted it yet. There will be white grout and it will look much better when we get that in. Soon...

this is the mes on the floor in front of the stairs. I am glad they will be cleaning them up and not me!
the main bathroom is ready to tile... we are doing that today

we woke to a winter wonderland...I love it when everything is covered in frost.

a close up shot of the fence across the street

if it looks cold to you..you are right. only 5 this morning but that is way better than the 31 below we had a week ago !

the sheet rock is about finished. a very big mess

more wonderland pics

I tryed to get a shot of the sparkles as the frost fell off the house

the aweful wallpaper is long gone and the walls are ready to get new texturing on Monday
We are getting the tiling done in the main and the Master baths and then we should be ready to start painting on Wednesday!!! that will be exciting!
Stay tuned, lots of changes coming up real soon...

Well the old tub finally says goodbye, Gabe ( one of the workers that is here most days) took a very big sledge hammer and broke it first ( see below) and then they hauled it out in pieces.

Dad is doing the final wiring in the master panel...
Yeah we are officially done running wire! everything is wired and we only have about a thousand switches, receptacles, and light fixtures to hook up after the sheet rock is done.

The master bedroom with only the ceiling rocked

almost the same view with all the rock on... yes we have walls !!

the master closet

half of the garage

they are filling one of the new tubs... bath anyone? :)

the ceiling is in in the Great room

they have built and partially rocked the closet in front of the hole in the basement

the new stairs entering the family room in the basement

the stairway looks very different with walls...
We think they will have all the sheets of sheetrock up possibly tomorrow and then they will start taping and mudding ... that will take a week or two to finish and then we paint!
It is looking like a house more every day..

Well what do you think of the finished rrock on the front? We love it! Also they finished the stucco above the brick too. It was supposed to be a darker gray, but I think it still looks pretty good.
another shot

Everett up in the very nasty attic running the last of the wire!! Yipee almost finished with that job!

Do you like how the workers are keeping the basement warm? doesn't seem very safe to me for a lot of reasons... getting ready to start the sheetrock!

we have sheet rock piled up all over the house...

Jon handing something up to Ev in the attic

we tore the bottom off all the old bedrooms for the new wiring.

what a mess it is

more of the mess...

That's my man... a rather common look around here right now since they have been insulating. That dust is deadly!! And EVERYWHERE!
Sorry I haven't posted for a while...I just don't have time! :) That should be getting a little better until the painting starts!!
Love ya,
Later...

Anyone ready for a dog? :) We are having fun with the new fireplace!!

The obligitory post wisdom teeth extraction shot ...Everett went to SLC and has his removed last monday. He is looking much better now but still pretty tender.

This is an old shot from a few days ago, but they still are not quite finished with the rock, but oh so close... Probably tomorrow!!! We are excited for the final reveal.

They got a little rock on the chimney...
And started on the entryway. What do you think of the rock? We love it! These are not very good pictures. I will try to get a few better ones as they progress.

the new gas fireplace arrived and was installed...

they put insulation in the new part of the house. We now feel like we have ceilings. It is so much warmer and quieter.

We continue to work feverishly to get the wiring done. Dad is pretty much at it from daylight until way after dark almost every day. He is working way too many hours, but we have to get it finished so we don't hold up everyone else. Wish you all were here and we could have a big wiring party for a few days and it would be done!!! :) Sounds fun right?
