They put the steps on the deck and poured the concrete landings at the bottoms. Then it got cold again and what you see is the concrete blankets and tarps covering the young concrete so it won't freeze.
they put the underlying scratch coat on the chimney preparing for the rock you can see a little of the rock on the porch. again they had to cover everything because it got very cold. (duh, it is the end of october in wyoming!)

more rock
they installed all the doors and they finally got my little window at the top

the master bedroom door off the deck. they have been getting the underlayment on for the siding too.

the masons came and started puting the top on the brick all around the house. We have many hundreds of old brick that we saved for doing this but they bought new brick!!! I think they did a good job matching though. the morter is still wet so it looks darker than it will be when dry.

this view shows what they are doing. We removed 1/2 of the brick all around the house and they are finishing the edge. They will also add brick 1/2 way up the front of the garage to match the existing house.
We have the wiring complete in the new section of the house and the new garage and it was a killer! TONS of work on a ladder. they are supposed to insulate the new section and get it ready to sheetrock on monday... we'll see what gets done.
stay tuned
